"Make a wish list and do not be afraid to share it with the builder. Clients are often surprised at what they can achieve by sharing ideas and thoughts."
Sula Kogan
Don't overload - enjoy the building process. The key to a successful development is trusting your builder and developing your taste and skills in your decision making process. Trust and from there your wisdom will grow and develop into a long lasting relationship with your builder.
All natural materials such as softwoods, hardwoods, natural stones, marble and limestone's are beautiful due to their being natural. Natural elements have flaws within them - some you can see immediately like veins in marble, others like hardwood flooring show their designs better after stain is applied. Nevertheless, each material can change in appearance over time, so be prepared to embrace all natural material with or without flaws. Try to remember in most cases what you see as a flaw is not always what others will see as a flaw.
"Do your best as you go along; seek excellence but don't fall victim to perfectionist traits; in turmoil, take the middle path; and hurry never."
"More is not necessarily better"
"Buy the best you can afford... buy one less thing - but buy the thing you really want and that will make you most happy"
